I was home for the funeral of a family friend last week, but in a lighter moment, we took a few family photos. Too bad Laurie couldn't be there for them.

Jane's Birthday
Catching up on posting, we celebrated Jane's 81st birthday this past week with a nice dinner out and small celebration at her home. It made for a very nice, relaxing evening.

Sly - Graduation Day
Judy, and I had a wonderful time at Sly's graduation ceremony yesterday. As always, the wonderful folks at Canine Companions for Independence are so warm and welcoming. Judy and I were able to spend quality time reuniting with Sly, then have lunch with Sly's new partner, Shannon. This gave us a chance to learn more about what Sly will be doing in his future as a service dog and for us to share puppyhood stories with Shannon. Shannon has had several CCI dogs in the past, and hearing her talk about them, it was quite evident how much the CCI dogs mean to her.
